Resolution of Call for Joint Proposals 2018

Two are the projects that will be awarded 10´000€ each by the UNESCO International Center for the Mediterranean Biosphere Reserves, after the Call for Joint Proposals which aim is to promote across-borders collaboration between different territories within the Network.
The Spanish-Moroccan Intercontinental Mediterranean Reserve and the Moroccan Atlas Cedar Biosphere Reserve will jointly design and perform seminars for the training and the exchange of experience and expertise between managers, technicians, public administrators, tourism operators from both shores. The project will contribute to the development of a common strategy for sustainable ecotourism.
The other awarded proposal was developed by 5 different Biosphere Reserves from 5 different Countries: Appennino Tosco-Emiliano (Italy); Terres de l´Ebre (Spain); Valleé du Fango (France); Jabal Moussa (Lebanon); Djebel Bou-hedma (Tunisia). The initiative envisions the development a network of beekeepers coming from the different involved territories. The purpose is to strengthen the collaboration between different honey producers and stakeholders, and their local and international recognition. The protection of the local economy will translate in the protection of the environment.
