The abertis foundation strengthens road safety in Brazil and Chile

As part of its objective to implement road safety campaigns in the countries where the abertis group is present, the abertis foundation is working on initiatives in Brazil and Chile.

In Brazil, the CEO of abertis, Francisco Reynés, together with the CEO of arteris (the Group’s Brazilian subsidiary), recently unveiled an awareness campaign aimed at preventing road accidents. After the presentation, which took place at the Operations and Control Centre of the Fluminense Toll Road in the state of Espíritu Santo, Fransico Reynés and David Díaz handed out road safety awareness leaflets at the toll booths. The Régis Bittencourt Toll Road in the state of São Paulo is also taking part in the campaign.

In Chile, the campaign has been launched under the slogan ”No te cambies de vehículo ” (“Don’t change your means of transport”), which refers to the possibility of having to change your car for a wheelchair in the event of a serious accident. Similar to the distribution in Brazil, the Director of the abertis foundation, Sergi Loughney, joined forces with the Chilean Minister for Public Work s to hand out leaflets on the dangers of unsafe driving. These leaflets will be distributed at the toll booths on Route 68 and the Autopista del Sol.
