Training Programme under RES-MAB to Foster Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Biosphere Reserves

The UNESCOMED Center is pleased to announce a new series of training modules in the framework of the RES-MAB  Project, aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship, social innovation, and sustainable development across biosphere reserves.

Organised by the Alto Bernesga Biosphere Reserve, the main objective is to offer practical tools that enable participants to transform identified ideas or needs into viable projects, aligned with current challenges of economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The training will guide attendees through the full process of initiative development—from analysing local contexts and identifying opportunities to designing business models, planning finances, and communicating projects effectively.

These training modules are aimed at a wide range of profiles within the local socioeconomic fabric: entrepreneurs, small businesses, associations, third-sector organizations, neighborhood groups, and anyone interested in promoting initiatives related to the sustainable development of the region.

Key  information

  • Calendar: the programme will take place throughout April (21 & 28) and May (5, 12 & 19) and will consist of five practical training modules.
  • Time: from 16:00 to 19:00 h.
  • Format: The training will be delivered in a hybrid format. Participants may attend in person in any of the 7 Biosphere Reserve involved in  RES-MAB or join online.
  • Language: The sessions will be performed in English with subtitles available in multiple partner languages—including Slovenian, French, Arabic, Italian, and Spanish. Supporting materials will be provided in the same languages to ensure accessibility for an international audience.
  • Target audience: Entrepreneurs, SMEs, associations, community groups, and individuals interested in sustainability.

Practical  and Action-Oriented Modules: The five modules are designed with a hands-on approach, tailored to real territorial and socio-economic contexts. Participants will engage in applied exercises, learn from real examples, and exchange experiences with peers, enabling them to advance their own projects throughout the programme.

Delivered  by: Tandem Social, a social cooperative with extensive experience in consultancy, training, and European projects, specialising in social, environmental, and sustainable development.

This initiative aims not only to support individual projects but also to reinforce local ecosystems of innovation and cooperation. By fostering collaboration among individuals, organisations, and communities, the programme contributes to building more resilient and sustainable regions.

Participants may register for one or more modules, and a certificate of participation will be awarded upon completion.
